The role encompasses reception, switchboard, visitor liaison, venue bookings and general office administration in a busy tourism environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Receive and direct telephone calls; relay messages timeously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welcome visitors\/clients and notify relevant staff; ensure a comfortable waiting experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive and timeously notify employees of documents and deliveries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain reception presentation, adhere to dress code and protocol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep a constant supply of brochures; provide information and promotional materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a visitors\u2019 register and reception filing; support general office administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reserve boardrooms\/meeting venues; manage bookings and space allocations for staff and visitors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure meeting venues are set up and serviced (basic stationery and refreshments).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage meeting assets (audio-visual and presentation tools).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with logistics and procurement of services (courier, catering) in coordination with Head Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform other ad hoc duties as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements &amp; Skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National Diploma \/ N Diploma in one of: Office Management &amp; Technology, Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, Tourism, Hotel Management, or Hospitality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u20133 years\u2019 experience as a front office\/receptionist\/administrative assistant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tourism\/hospitality reception or switchboard experience (advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word (essential).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working knowledge of Roomseeker (advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence (advantage).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal record (criminal and reference checks will be conducted).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong customer-service orientation; excellent telephone etiquette.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good administration and numerical skills; sound interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in English and two other local languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Remuneration &amp; Benefits<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic salary aligned to Paterson B5 grade, plus allowances and benefits as per SANParks HR Tariff Document and Conditions of Service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Successful candidate will reside inside the park (accommodation provided).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Employment Equity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preference will be given to PDI\/HDSA candidates. Appointments will be made in line with SANParks\u2019 Employment Equity Plan.
