Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cape Union Mart Group (Cape Union Mart, Old Khaki and Poetry) is hiring festive season sales assistants<\/strong> across South Africa (and Gaborone, Botswana). You\u2019ll help customers, drive sales, maintain visual standards and support smooth store operations during peak trade. No experience is required<\/strong>\u2014retail exposure is an advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Exceed customer expectations using effective selling techniques; act as a friendly brand ambassador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Meet individual\/store targets; maximise sales by identifying upsell\/cross-sell opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain housekeeping and visual merchandising<\/strong> standards that optimise sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Adhere to stock-loss controls and basic store SOPs (cash handling where applicable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Support replenishment, ticketing, fitting room and stockroom tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Create an inspiring, helpful environment for customers and teammates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements & Skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Education:<\/strong> Matric\/Grade 12 preferred<\/strong> (not mandatory).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Experience:<\/strong> No experience required<\/strong> (entry level); retail experience is advantageous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Core:<\/strong> Customer-service focus, clear communication (English), friendly and engaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Attributes:<\/strong> Honest, accountable, adaptable, takes ownership, good time management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Compliance:<\/strong> Clear criminal record; able to work retail hours (weekends\/holidays\/late trade).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Botswana role:<\/strong> Valid right to work in Botswana (for Gaborone listing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
