Successful candidates will undergo a <strong>two-year structured training programme<\/strong> at the Traffic Training College, Pietermaritzburg. On completion of the Traffic Officer\u2019s Diploma, candidates will be placed as Provincial Inspectors (Salary Level 06) at RTI stations throughout KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This opportunity is ideal for disciplined, physically fit, and motivated individuals who are committed to enforcing traffic laws and promoting road safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enforce Road Traffic, Public Passenger, and Transport Legislation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the free flow of traffic through road duty, point duty, and accident scene management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in traffic policing projects, hazardous location monitoring, and speed testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Examine driver\u2019s licences and monitor compliance at DLTC and VTS testing stations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct vehicle roadworthy tests and provide visible traffic control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist motorists, control abnormal loads, and participate in roadblocks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patrol hazardous routes, manage breakdowns, and enforce compliance with firearm regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain professional ethics, discipline, and service delivery standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Educational:<\/strong> Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Licence:<\/strong> Valid <strong>Code B manual driving licence<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Age:<\/strong> Not older than <strong>35 years<\/strong> on the first day of training.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Citizenship:<\/strong> Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fitness:<\/strong> Physically fit, with the ability to perform strenuous exercise (medical certificate required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Record:<\/strong> No criminal record;
