The successful candidate will be responsible for distributing goods to various clients, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This is a permanent position based in Vereeniging, Gauteng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grade 10 literacy level (both verbal and numerical proficiency).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid Code EC driver\u2019s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP &#8211; DGP).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be 25 years of age or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in defensive driving techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of vehicle components and their functions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to inspect vehicles, handle emergencies, and operate a fire extinguisher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in maximizing vehicle efficiency and loading techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior experience with dry bulk tankers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare and operate ultra-heavy-duty vehicles for trips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Load, transport, and offload goods while ensuring the safety of the load.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete all required documentation and perform ancillary duties as instructed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow instructions from supervisors and be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a safe driving record and ensure compliance with all relevant safety procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep vehicles, uniforms, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in good condition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergo and complete medical evaluations, USCS training modules, induction processes, and practical driving assessments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify and maintain a clean criminal record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance with the National Road Traffic Act regarding vehicle loading and operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professionally interact with clients and oversee or manage the offloading process, including opening and closing tarpaulins when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-base-3-color has-accent-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-560d09dc7732bb0ed8c44201f6b82bf8\"><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-for-unitrans-ultra-heavy-motor-vehicle-driver\/\" style=\"background-color:#ff0000\">APPLY<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><br>This role requires flexibility and commitment to ensure goods are delivered efficiently and safely.
