The Gauteng College of Nursing invites applications for the <strong>Diploma in Nursing<\/strong> program, starting in 2025. You can study at one of the following campuses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ann Latsky Campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SG Lourens Campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bonalesedi Campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Requirements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, please take note of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must <strong>register a profile<\/strong> on the application system before submitting your application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be <strong>South African citizens<\/strong> residing in Gauteng.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must have one of the following qualifications:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Senior Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Senior Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently in Grade 12<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National Vocational Certificate in Primary Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong><br>Submit your application via the GPG Professional Job Centre system <strong>on or before October 11th, 2024<\/strong>. Late applications will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Documents:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certified documents should be uploaded online. If shortlisted, you will need to bring original supporting documents to the selection center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No hand-delivered or emailed applications<\/strong> will be considered\u2014apply online only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic Requirements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For each qualification, the following subject criteria apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior Certificate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>English: HG D or SG C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biology: HG D or SG C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematics: HG D or SG C<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M Score of 17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National Senior Certificate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>English: Level 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Life Sciences: Level 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematics: Level 4 or Math Literacy: Level 5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>APS of 27 or higher (Life Orientation counts as half)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National Vocational Certificate:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>50% in Fundamental Subjects (English First Additional Language, Math\/Math Literacy, Life Orientation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>60% in Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, The Human Body and Mind, Community Oriented Primary Care)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current Grade 12 Learners:<\/strong><br>Grade 11 final results must meet the National Senior Certificate requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Competencies &amp; Attributes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for applicants who demonstrate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A <strong>passion for nursing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Problem-solving<\/strong> skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Patience<\/strong> and the ability to relate to people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong <strong>organizational and leadership<\/strong> abilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flexibility<\/strong> and calmness during a crisis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent <strong>communication, numeracy, and life skills<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Computer literacy<\/strong> and study skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Honesty, compassion<\/strong>, and caring nature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Notes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shortlisted applicants will undergo a <strong>compulsory psychometric assessment<\/strong>.
