Overview:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Grain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (Pty) Ltd, is looking for a responsible and self-motivated Code 10 Driver to carry out dry-cleaning duties at various chicken farms. This permanent position offers an opportunity to work independently in the agricultural sector while providing an essential service within the broiler industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Travel daily to multiple farms to perform dry-cleaning of chicken houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Follow the laid-down Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for dry-cleaning, from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct dry-cleaning after all chickens have been removed from the houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Complete the required pre-dry-cleaning checklist to ensure the equipment is ready for use according to SOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Secure the chicken house after dry-cleaning to prevent unauthorized access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Refuel the dry-cleaning machine with diesel at the end of each shift to prepare for the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform basic mechanical repairs on equipment when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Carry out any additional duties as assigned by management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Valid Code 10 driver\u2019s license with PDP (Professional Driving Permit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Experience in dry-cleaning chicken houses is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Knowledge of the layout and operation of chicken houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Basic mechanical skills are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans, as the role involves engaging with GFC contract growers on the farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong client interaction skills with both internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Willingness to work overtime, including weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to interact respectfully and helpfully with clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Good communication skills, both verbal and written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ability to analyze, record, and report information accurately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Capable of working independently and managing time efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
