Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ford Motor Company is seeking a diligent Warehouse Checker\/Picker to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, receiving, and storing parts from local and international suppliers, as well as picking orders to meet delivery schedules. This role is essential to ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and that all dealer orders are processed accurately and on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Receiving & Inspection:<\/strong> Ensure all parts received (local and imported) are checked, inspected, and free of damage. Properly label and route parts to the appropriate drop zone for binning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Order Fulfillment:<\/strong> Pick dealer order parts and ensure all cut-off times are met. Handle airfreight, backorders, and VOR (Vehicle Off-Road) parts within 4 hours of receipt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Storage Planning:<\/strong> Plan storage for new parts, particularly for new models, by measuring and organizing space efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Stock Management:<\/strong> Follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle when binning parts. Ensure all backorders and rush orders are picked and dispatched as per schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Warehouse Equipment Operation:<\/strong> Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and other specialized tools, safely and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Inventory Accuracy:<\/strong> Conduct regular physical bin checks to maintain a bin face accuracy of 98.5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Returns & Claims:<\/strong> Process dealer returns promptly, following the claims adjudication process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Shift Work:<\/strong> Work according to a set shift pattern (07:30 \u2013 16:00 or 12:00 \u2013 20:00).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Team Participation:<\/strong> Actively participate in daily start-up meetings and adhere to the 5S organizational principles to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Education:<\/strong> Matric with Mathematics and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Forklift License:<\/strong> Valid forklift driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Experience:<\/strong> 2-3 years of experience in an automotive or similar warehouse environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Skills:<\/strong> Ability to operate warehouse equipment and strong attention to detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
