The successful candidates will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on SAPS vehicles, ensuring operational readiness, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform high-quality, cost-effective repairs and maintenance on SAPS vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Diagnose and strip vehicles to identify required parts and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Complete and submit parts request lists and job cards accurately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure proper safekeeping of tools, equipment, and supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Mentor apprentices and assist with their training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 83 of 1995).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Follow all necessary safety protocols and ensure a clean working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Generic Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be a South African citizen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient in at least two official languages, with one being English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid light motor vehicle driver&#8217;s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No previous criminal or departmental convictions, and no criminal cases pending.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No visible tattoos when wearing the SAPS uniform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will be subject to security screening, vetting, and fingerprint verification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additional Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Valid Trade Test Certificate in Automotive Motor Mechanics (as per the Skills Development Amendment Act 37\/2008).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience in automotive mechanics will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-base-3-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/zentrofly.com\/jobs\/apply-saps-garage-motor-vehicle-mechanics-x30\/\" style=\"background-color:#ff0000\">APPLY<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only the official SAPS application form, available on the SAPS website or at SAPS recruitment offices, will be accepted.
