Overview<\/strong>
Rubicon is seeking Warehouse Assistants\/Drivers to join our team in Linbro Park, Gauteng. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. The role also includes delivery responsibilities to meet the company’s logistics objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Identify the source of incoming stock (branch, customer, or supplier) and the type of order (customer return, inter-company transfer, local or international).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure receipted stock is correctly placed in designated warehouse locations (Lighting, Energy, Utilities, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report discrepancies (damaged, short, or over-supplied stock) to the supervisor and procurement team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Record and follow up on stock discrepancies, resolving them within 5 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storage:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure receipted stock is safely and securely stored to prevent damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Package items to minimize the risk of damage during storage and transportation, following company policies and health and safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Order Fulfilment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Remove damaged stock from shelves and coordinate with stock control to take corrective actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prepare stock for dispatch, ensuring it meets customer or branch requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collaborate with teams to ensure timely deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Package items to prevent damage during transport, ensuring they are presentable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Label all loose items according to standard operating procedures (SOP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dispatch:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Coordinate deliveries to align with company objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure transportation quotes are managed to meet delivery timelines within budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Scan proof of deliveries (PODs) from the previous day by close of business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Confirm delivery details (address, contact person) before dispatch and correct any errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Liaise with the dispatch controller to ensure the proper equipment is available for deliveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Documentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Accurately process stock instructions and note any discrepancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure all documentation has two signatures\u2014one for the person handing over stock and one for the person receiving it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Store documentation in line with company SOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health & Safety:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Enforce health and safety policies in warehouse and transport activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Arrange training for warehouse staff, including forklift licenses, driver\u2019s licenses, and first aid certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
