This role involves overseeing the management, transportation, and maintenance of our operational and armoured vehicle fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Coordinate and manage armoured and operational vehicle fleets, ensuring readiness and compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Oversee national transportation of vehicles, equipment, and personnel as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Load, pack, and inspect vehicles for transport, adhering to all safety and operational standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of fleet vehicles, reporting any losses or damages promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist in policy formulation, ensuring adherence to National Instruction 4 of 2011 (State Vehicles) and National Instruction 2 of 2022 (Armoured Vehicles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Maintain registration, certification, and utilization records for Mobilisation Support&#8217;s vehicle fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Provide performance reports on fleet activities to the Section Head for inclusion in SAPS\u2019s Annual Report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Ensure compliance with the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Generic Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrated competency in post-specific functions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in at least two official languages, including English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF level 4.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South African citizenship with a valid, appropriate driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No criminal convictions or cases pending.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No visible tattoos when wearing the SAPS uniform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to undergo a thorough vetting process, including security screening and fingerprint verification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and during extended hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3-4 years of driving experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possession of code EB, C1, C, EC1, and EC driver\u2019s licenses, as well as a Public Drivers Permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Instructions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Application Form<\/strong>: Only the official SAPS application form, available on the SAPS website and at local police stations, will be accepted.
