The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the protection of our staff, customers, and assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose of the Role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Retail Security Checker will be responsible for verifying customer purchases at store exits, monitoring the premises, reporting irregularities, responding to queries, assisting both customers and staff, and maintaining a secure and orderly environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

-Verify customer purchase receipts against items when exiting the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Patrol and monitor the store premises to identify any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security breaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Remain calm during emergencies or alarms, directing people to safety or apprehending involved parties if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Respond to calls for assistance and coordinate with fire or law enforcement agencies as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Assist during emergencies to minimize harm to individuals and damage to property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Collaborate with team members to uphold store security and safety protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Perform all duties with integrity, professionalism, and adherence to security protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

–Education:<\/strong> Grade 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Background Check:<\/strong> Clean criminal record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Licensing:<\/strong> Relevant license and certifications preferred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Skills:<\/strong> Excellent observation skills, strong physical fitness, and mental resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Experience:<\/strong> Prior security experience is beneficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

–Attributes:<\/strong> Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
