The successful candidate will be based in Pietermaritzburg and will provide reliable driving and delivery services as well as perform messenger duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>-Drive light and medium vehicles to transport passengers and deliver mail and official documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Perform routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle, such as monitoring oil, water, fuel, and tire pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Report any mechanical issues and arrange for necessary services and repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Complete and submit accurate records and logbooks for vehicle movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Collect and deliver mail and packages between departmental offices and external institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Assist with photocopying, document preparation, and related office duties when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Handle confidential and classified information with discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Educational Qualification:<\/strong> Minimum Grade 10.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Driving Experience:<\/strong> At least 7 to 12 months of experience in driving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Driver\u2019s License:<\/strong> Valid Code 10 driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Skills &amp; Knowledge:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of road traffic rules and driving procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with routes, locations, and general map reading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer literacy will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time management and organizational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work independently and handle pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enquiries:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms NIP Khanyile<br><strong>Contact:<\/strong> 033 264 5602<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Instructions:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications following the guidance in <strong>Vacancy Circular No. 03 of 2025<\/strong>, available at the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
