Overview:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is seeking a qualified Driver<\/strong> to ensure the timeous, effective, and cost-efficient transportation of goods and passengers. The ideal candidate must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining professional service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

1. Pre-Trip Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Conduct vehicle inspections before each trip to ensure roadworthiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Check fuel levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report any defects or maintenance issues immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Transportation of Goods<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Transport goods, materials, and medical supplies safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure that deliveries are made on time and comply with SANBS protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Handle items with care, especially hazardous or perishable goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Transportation of Passengers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Safely transport employees, donors, or other authorized personnel when required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Ensure passenger comfort and safety throughout the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Administrative and Support Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Maintain accurate trip logs and delivery records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Report any incidents, delays, or traffic-related issues to management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Adhere to SANBS policies, procedures, and all road traffic laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technical \/ Professional Skills:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Proficiency in safe driving techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Knowledge and adherence to the Road Traffic Act, particularly regarding the transportation of dangerous goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Professional image and conduct when representing the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Good self-management and ability to work under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

-Minimum Grade 9<\/strong> qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Valid Code C1 driver\u2019s license<\/strong> with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Fluency in English<\/strong> (written and verbal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prior experience as a driver in a healthcare or logistics environment is advantageous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
