Overview
Eskom is participating in the national Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative to help young South Africans gain meaningful first-work experience in the energy industry. Successful candidates will be appointed on a 12-month fixed-term contract within Eskom Operations (across divisions and provinces), developing practical workplace skills while contributing to service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
-Support day-to-day operational, administrative, or customer-focused tasks within the assigned function/division.
-Maintain accurate records and assist with basic reporting as guided by the supervisor.
-Uphold safety, compliance, and confidentiality standards at all times.
-Engage in on-the-job learning, coaching, and development activities.
-Provide professional, courteous assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
-Participate in ad-hoc projects and team initiatives as required.
Requirements & Skills
Minimum Requirements
–South African citizen, aged 18–34.
–Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent; a post-matric certificate/programme is advantageous.
–Not employed permanently with one employer for more than 12 consecutive months.
–Not studying full-time during the 12-month contract period.
–Not previously registered/participated in the YES initiative.
