Overview:

Eskom, through its partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, is offering unemployed South African youth an opportunity to gain valuable work experience at Camden Power Station in Mpumalanga. This programme is part of a broader public-private effort led by the Presidency to combat youth unemployment by providing practical exposure in key operational environments.

Eskom is seeking 11 energetic, committed, and driven individuals to participate in a 12-month structured work experience programme within the Generation Division. If you are ready to take the first step into the professional world, this opportunity is designed for you.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide general support services to various departments across the power station

-Participate fully in all training and mentoring programmes provided

-Execute assigned duties responsibly under supervision

-Adhere to safety, operational, and administrative guidelines

-Maintain professionalism and demonstrate a willingness to learn throughout the programme

Minimum Requirements:

-Must be a South African citizen

-Age between 18 and 34 years

-Possess a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

-A post-matric certificate or programme will be an added advantage

-Must not be currently employed on a permanent basis for more than one year

-Must not be studying full-time during the year of participation

-Must not have participated in the YES programme previously
