Overview
Kruger National Park is seeking a Camp Driver for the Olifants Rest Camp in the Nxanatseni Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment, goods, and passengers, as well as assisting with general camp duties when not engaged in driving tasks.
Responsibilities
-Drive the camp vehicle and complete a daily trip sheet.
-Transport equipment, goods, and passengers, including staff requiring medical assistance outside the park.
-Ensure the safe handling and delivery of goods from the point of loading to the destination.
-Collect and deliver the camp’s linen.
-Assist with general camp duties when driving tasks are not required.
-Conduct daily vehicle inspections as per the prescribed inspection sheet and report any defaults or accidents.
-Maintain and complete a monthly vehicle log sheet.
Requirements and Skills
–Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric).
–Valid Code 10 (C) Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
-Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
-Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
-Understanding of conservation and environmental issues.
-Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
