Apprentice in the field of electrical engineering

Job Synopsis:

The principal aim of this position is to acquire certification as a tradesperson through training, in addition to acquiring significant expertise and practical experience in the selected field.

Critical Obligations:

Completion of the three to four-year apprenticeship program within the timeframe specified by the organization and SETA (Sector Education and Training Authority) requirements.

– Maintain a secure and conducive working environment by strictly complying with all legal obligations and safety, health, and environmental protocols.
Maintain a secure and sanitary work environment.
Obtain knowledgeable and specialized skills in your chosen vocation through rigorous training.
Plant, equipment, spare parts, and pertinent documentation/systems must be located.
Plan, prepare, and allocate funds for assigned duties.
In addition to diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, perform maintenance duties.
– Optimize and improve plant, process, and system equipment on an ongoing basis.
– Acquire the technical expertise required to operate the apparatus you will be operating.

The bare minimum requires:

The minimum educational prerequisite is a 12th grade diploma in science and mathematics.
– At least a National Technical Certificate (N4) is required to begin the curriculum in the selected trade.
– It is beneficial to possess a higher qualification (N5/N6) in the pertinent engineering field.
One must possess a strong aptitude for engineering.

  • A willingness to participate in Johannesburg training sessions.
