Overview
Lomeza Mining Services is seeking a dedicated and goal-oriented Diesel Bowser Operator to join our team in the Northern Cape Hotazel area. This full-time position requires a professional committed to maintaining safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-use inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain the bowser, ensuring cleanliness and tire protection.
- Accurately record diesel usage and received quantities.
- Report any equipment defects.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Prevent and contain diesel spillages.
- Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all interactions.
- Take personal responsibility for safety to ensure zero harm and eliminate fatalities.
- Identify and mitigate specific risks within the area.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License (Code 14 is advantageous).
- Valid diesel bowser competency certificate.
- Dover test with Symbol A.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Medically fit.
- Understanding of opencast operations.
- Awareness of the importance of safety in the workplace.
- HAZCHEM Certificate is advantageous.
