Overview
Afriski Mountain Resort is seeking a Guest Relations Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, customer-focused professional who can manage front desk operations, guest communication, bookings, and revenue management. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless guest experience, handle inquiries and complaints diplomatically, and contribute to efficient resort operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
-Oversee front desk and reception duties, ensuring smooth operations.
-Handle guest arrivals, departures, and reservations efficiently.
-Facilitate guest communication, addressing inquiries, conflicts, and requests professionally.
Office Administration & Communication
-Manage staff rosters, attendance, and performance tracking.
-Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and activity teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
-Facilitate communication for resort programs, including entertainment and activities schedules.
Financial & Revenue Management
-Oversee cash-ups, pre-bookings, and walk-in reconciliations.
-Ensure accurate income and revenue tracking for bookings and resort activities.
-Prepare daily financial reports for management review.
HR & Staff Administration
-Manage staff payroll and administrative processes.
-Support human resource functions, including training and staff performance monitoring.
Minimum Requirements
–Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one African language.
–Strong listening skills to understand and carry out instructions accurately.
-Experience in administration and basic accounting with strong prioritization skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office applications.
-A friendly and vibrant personality with strong problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to handle guest complaints and emergencies with diplomacy.
-Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
-Willingness to work overtime when required.
