Receptionist – Afriski Mountain Resort

Overview

Afriski Mountain Resort is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team. This role requires an individual with strong communication, administrative, and customer service skills to ensure a seamless guest experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling reservations, coordinating with various departments, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage reservations, including checking availability, sending and following up on quotes, and capturing bookings on Innkeeper.

-Communicate guest requests, booked activities, and housekeeping needs to relevant departments.

-Log and report maintenance and housekeeping issues on Innkeeper in a timely manner.

-Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and minimizing negative reviews.

-Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.

-Utilize strong marketing skills to cross-sell and up-sell Afriski offerings.

Essential Skills & Competencies

Multicultural communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse guests and team members.

Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.

Business administration and financial literacy to manage bookings and records effectively.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and virtual meeting tools.

-Comprehensive knowledge of reception duties and hospitality service standards.

Understanding of Lesotho dynamics and the ability to connect with key decision-makers.

-Willingness to live on-site at the resort in harsh weather conditions.

-Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
