Overview:

Kopano Ke Matla Joint Venture is hiring experienced Steel Fixers to install and secure steel bars and mesh in concrete structures. Candidates should have strong skills in reinforcement work and an understanding of structural engineering requirements.

Responsibilities:

-Read and interpret construction blueprints and engineering drawings.

-Cut, bend, and tie rebar or steel mesh according to specifications.

-Position and secure steel reinforcement bars in formwork before pouring concrete.

-Use hand and power tools to shape and fasten rebar in place.

-Work closely with engineers, foremen, and construction teams to ensure structural integrity.

-Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.

-Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements:

-Trade-certified steel fixer with a recognized qualification.

-Minimum of three years’ experience in reinforcement work for construction projects.

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

-Experience working with different types of reinforcement materials and binding techniques.

-Ability to use cutting and bending tools effectively.

-Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights or confined spaces.

-Strong teamwork and communication skills.
