Overview:
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is recruiting 15 AgricBusiness Trainers to support the implementation of the Economic Inclusion Program (EIP) under Component 1A of the Pathways to Sustainable Livelihoods Project (PSLP). This program, led by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, aims to uplift poor and vulnerable households by integrating economic inclusion activities with cash transfers.
The successful candidates will provide training and coaching in micro-entrepreneurship, agricultural business, and financial education. They will work directly within the community councils listed above to empower beneficiaries and foster sustainable livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, coordinate, and deliver training sessions and coaching in target communities
-Support beneficiaries in developing Agricultural Business Development Plans and maintaining financial records
-Conduct weekly field visits for monitoring, mentorship, and gap identification
-Collaborate with MEAL Officers for data collection, analysis, and reporting
-Prepare and submit detailed monthly activity reports
-Build partnerships with local organizations, government entities, and MSME stakeholders
-Facilitate service referrals and market linkages for beneficiaries
-Participate in Agric microenterprise forums and share best practices
-Identify potential risks to business ventures and recommend mitigation strategies
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
–Must reside in one of the following councils: Metsi Maholo, Tosing, Thaba Mokhele, Bolahla, or Phuthiatsana
–Diploma in Agricultural Studies or a related field
-Additional qualification in Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Management, or Marketing is advantageous
-Minimum of 6 months experience in training, coaching, or advising MSMEs in Agribusiness
-Strong communication, mentoring, and facilitation skills
-Organized and proactive, with strong analytical and planning skills
-Computer literacy is essential
-Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
-Fluency in Sesotho and English is required
-Willingness to travel up to 80% within assigned communities
