Overview:

Mr Price Lesotho is looking for a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead the daily operations of its Maputsoe store. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving store performance, meeting sales targets, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a retail professional with a strong leadership background and a passion for customer service and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Stock Management:

  • Oversee the accurate receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock.
  • Monitor stock levels and mitigate risks related to stock loss.
  • Maintain the stockroom in line with housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, returns, and product recalls.

2. Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyse sales and profitability reports to guide operational strategies.
  • Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support centre.
  • Identify and implement new opportunities to increase sales and boost brand visibility.

3. Risk Management:

  • Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

4. Customer Experience Management:

  • Drive implementation of all customer experience initiatives, including promotions, markdowns, repricing, and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service through feedback analysis and execution of experience plans.

5. Leadership & Development:

  • Lead the store team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and align with company values.
  • Identify and address training and development needs.
  • Manage recruitment, performance, and succession planning in line with company policies.

6. Innovation:

  • Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office to improve customer satisfaction and in-store processes.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC) / Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGCSE) or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a retail store management position.
  • Strong understanding of sales and service management.
  • Budgeting and financial planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Solid business acumen, particularly in retail operations, customer engagement, and brand management.
