Overview
The Lesotho Red Cross Society (LRCS), a leading humanitarian organization and part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Resources Mobilization and Property Management Officer. This role will be key to enhancing the organization’s financial sustainability through strategic resource mobilization and effective management of LRCS’s physical assets.
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Secretary General, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies, securing partnerships, managing donor relationships, and ensuring efficient maintenance and utilization of the Society’s properties, including buildings, vehicles, and other assets.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Mobilization
-Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies aligned with LRCS’s goals.
-Identify funding opportunities from local and international donors, corporate sponsors, and government bodies.
-Draft high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, and budgets.
-Cultivate and maintain long-term partnerships with donors and stakeholders.
-Organize and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns.
-Monitor and evaluate resource mobilization activities and report on progress.
Property Management
-Oversee maintenance, security, and repair of LRCS-owned properties.
-Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and operational standards.
-Manage leases, asset inventories, and maintenance schedules.
-Implement strategies to maximize asset utilization and income generation.
-Prepare regular reports on property status, expenses, and revenue.
General Duties
-Support cross-functional teams in disaster response and program delivery.
-Provide strategic advice on fundraising and property matters to leadership.
-Represent LRCS in relevant meetings, forums, and donor engagements.
-Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Society’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in the relevant field is an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in resource mobilization or property management, preferably in a non-profit or humanitarian setting.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, and partnership development.
- Knowledge of property leasing, compliance, maintenance, and asset management.

- Sound project management and organizational abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management systems.
