Overview:

The Central Bank of Lesotho is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency. This role also involves the design, management, and optimization of databases and ensuring data system reliability and quality.


Responsibilities:

-Adopt and adapt best practices in application and data security.

-Apply database and server patching procedures to ensure up-to-date system performance.

-Implement high-availability architecture (e.g., clustering) for critical production systems.

-Plan and execute reliable backup and restore processes.

-Develop and implement efficient disaster recovery protocols, including replication between production and recovery sites.

-Use advanced tools to gather and analyze data for decision-making support.

-Identify trends and opportunities for institutional growth through complex data set analysis.

-Create dashboards and reports to clearly communicate data trends and findings.

-Design, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art analytic systems for internal use.

Requirements and Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

-Professional certifications such as MCSD, OCP, CDMP, or CBIP will be an added advantage.

-Experience in software development will be considered a plus.

-Proficiency in data analysis tools, dashboarding, and database systems is essential.
