Overview:
SUN JV, a subcontractor under the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) Project, is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the role of Environmental Control Assistant. The position will support the Environmental Control Officer in the monitoring and enforcement of environmental policies and compliance on site. This role is suitable for individuals with a strong interest in environmental conservation and field-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist the Environmental Control Officer in daily monitoring activities.
-Collect environmental data and samples for analysis and record keeping.
-Support environmental audits, inspections, and reporting processes.
-Help ensure compliance with environmental procedures on site.
-Participate in awareness sessions and workshops on environmental issues.
-Maintain accurate documentation and logs of environmental activities.
Requirements and Skills:
-Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Studies or a related field.
-At least 1–2 years of experience in an environmental or field assistant role.
-Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
-Strong communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to work under direct supervision in remote or rural project environments.
-Physically fit and able to conduct site-based duties effectively.
