Job Title: Fruit & Veg Assistant

Overview:
We’re seeking a Fruit & Veg Assistant to help maintain fresh produce displays, assist customers, and ensure overall department cleanliness and appeal.

Responsibilities:

-Assist with unpacking, sorting, and displaying fresh produce on shelves and tables

-Ensure all fruit and vegetables are neatly arranged and visually appealing

-Monitor produce for freshness, removing any spoiled or damaged items

-Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the Fruit & Veg area at all times

-Assist customers by answering questions and helping them find specific items

-Support stock rotation by applying the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method

-Replenish stock as needed and inform the supervisor of low inventory levels

-Handle produce with care to avoid bruising or spoilage

-Follow all store policies, food safety, and handling procedures

Requirements:

-LGCSE or equivalent qualification

-2 years of experience in a fruit and vegetable section preferred

-Must be energetic, attentive, and customer-friendly
