Overview:
The Butchery Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of the butchery department, ensuring quality meat preparation, stock control, and hygiene compliance.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise butchery staff and daily meat preparation processes
-Ensure all meat products are correctly cut, trimmed, packed, and labeled
-Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation at all times
-Maintain accurate stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce wastage
-Implement and enforce food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
-Train and guide team members in proper meat handling and cutting techniques
-Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition
-Manage customer orders, special requests, and handle complaints professionally
-Compile daily reports on production, stock, and sales for management review
Requirements:
-LGCSE or equivalent qualification
-Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role
-In-depth knowledge of meat cuts, handling, and safety standards
-Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
