Overview:
Sefalana Shopper is seeking a skilled Blockman to handle meat cutting and preparation in the butchery section while ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

-Cut, trim, bone, and portion meat products according to specifications

-Prepare meat cuts for display and customer purchase

-Operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently, including bandsaws and mincers

-Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all meat products

-Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the work area

-Follow food safety and health regulations at all times

-Assist customers with special meat cut requests and offer product knowledge

-Monitor product freshness and report any quality concerns to the supervisor

-Support stock control, packing, and wastage reduction efforts

Requirements:

-LGCSE or equivalent qualification

-2 years of proven experience as a blockman or butcher

-Knowledge of meat preparation and equipment usage

-Attention to hygiene and health regulations
