Overview:
The Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development (MGYSD), through the World Bank-funded Pathways to Sustainable Livelihoods Project (PSLP), is seeking to appoint a qualified Data Clerk Supervisor. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of data collection and entry services supporting the transition to digital payment systems across various social assistance programs in Lesotho.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and provide training to Data Entry Clerks and Enumerators.
-Oversee and manage field-level data collection across MGYSD Social Assistance programs.
-Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of data.
-Investigate data entry errors and implement corrective measures.
-Manage data collection workflows and enforce strict adherence to timelines.
-Provide regular feedback on team performance and promote accountability.
-Support the implementation of secure and efficient digital payment systems.
-Ensure the availability and functionality of data collection tools and IT equipment.
-Compile and submit monthly and annual reports on digital payment activities.
-Maintain secure data backups and collaborate with project staff to achieve team objectives.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in data management or supervisory roles.
- Proven leadership skills, especially in managing field-based data collection teams.
- Proficiency in data entry and high typing speed.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with electronic database systems and records management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a collaborative work environment.
