Job Purpose

Nedbank Lesotho is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to drive strategic growth through client-centric innovation, revenue generation, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will lead the commercial function, focusing on client acquisition, retention, and value creation while ensuring alignment with Nedbank’s values, governance standards, and transformational goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy execution aligned with Nedbank Lesotho’s business objectives
  • Build profitable and sustainable relationships with new and existing clients
  • Drive client acquisition, retention, and cross-selling to expand the franchise footprint
  • Oversee governance and regulatory compliance across all commercial operations
  • Collaborate across business functions to unlock synergies and improve cost-to-income ratio
  • Manage and grow the regional balance sheet and income streams
  • Lead a high-performing team by developing talent, managing performance, and embedding Nedbank’s values
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and transformation
  • Serve as the key liaison with internal stakeholders, product teams, business units, and external partners

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Education

  • Professional Qualifications / Honours Degree (NQF Level)
  • Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees

Preferred Education

  • Master of Commerce / MBA / MBL

Minimum Experience

  • 7–10 years of relevant industry experience
  • At least 4 years in a senior management role
