Overview

Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the HR function within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the company’s goals while fostering a productive and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Formulate and revise HR policies while ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations.

Recruitment and Talent Management

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, and onboarding.
  • Evaluate and enhance recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

Employee Relations

  • Advise management on employee relations issues and foster effective communication.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances to promote a cooperative work environment.

Performance Management

  • Implement performance management systems to support employee growth and organizational goals.
  • Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements for productivity enhancement.

Legal Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Update HR policies to align with legal requirements and organizational values.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure fair and equitable pay structures and performance-based reward systems.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Promote continuous professional development through workshops and seminars.

HR Information Systems

  • Maintain and enhance a computerized HR Information System (HRIS) for employee data management.
  • Ensure efficient payroll and leave management processes.

Budget Management

  • Assist in developing and managing the HR departmental budget and business plan.
  • Monitor HR expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance.

Reporting

  • Generate accurate and timely reports on HR metrics, workforce analytics, and departmental performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in HR or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resource Management, with a focus on strategic HR practices.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
