Overview

Makwande Supply and Distribution (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Petroleum Tanker Driver to join our Operations Department in Kroonstad. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of dangerous goods while adhering to all safety and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

-Transport customer products safely and responsibly.

-Liaise with the Operations Manager daily regarding collections and deliveries.

-Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.

-Communicate delays, accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately.

-Complete all trip-related paperwork accurately and submit it after each trip.

-Ensure the load is secure from loading to off-loading.

-Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all times.

-Adhere to customer and company safety protocols, as well as legal regulations.

-Maintain and report the condition of safety and vehicle equipment.

-Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act requirements.

-Assist with vehicle movement for COF or repairs as needed.

Requirements

-Valid Code 14 (DGP) driver’s license and Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).

-Dangerous Goods Certificate from an accredited institution.

-Minimum of 5 years of driving experience, including 3 years in the fuel industry.

-Knowledge of hazmat protocols.

-Clear criminal record.

-Meet medical fitness requirements.

-Age: 35–50 years.

-Shell experience is advantageous.

-Willingness to train in the company’s Fleet Management System.
