Overview
Mangwanani African Day Spa is looking for a reliable and responsible Driver to join our team in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. This full-time, permanent position involves safely transporting employees, clients, and spa supplies across the KZN province. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Code 10 driver’s license, a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP), a clean driving record, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Transportation:
-Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo.
-Provide transportation services for employees, clients, and guests as needed.
-Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of both the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Delivery and Pick-Up:
- Pick up and deliver spa supplies, equipment, and products as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
- Verify the condition and quantity of goods before and after delivery.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on company vehicles, including monitoring oil, tires, brakes, and fluid levels.
- Promptly report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Keep track of receipts and expenses related to vehicle use.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests during transportation.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage or equipment when necessary.
Compliance:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure that the vehicle is properly registered, licensed, and insured at all times.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols when handling goods, clients, and the vehicle.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with spa management and colleagues regarding transportation schedules and any arising issues.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (Code 10 or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a corporate or service-oriented environment.
- Good knowledge of the KwaZulu-Natal road network.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Strong time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loads during loading and unloading.
- Good vision and hearing to ensure safe driving.
Additional Information:
- This position may require flexible working hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings, to accommodate spa business needs.
- The Driver may be required to run errands and perform additional duties as assigned by the procurement manager.
