Overview
Eskom’s Matla Power Station is offering a Learning Programme for 15 Learner Plant Operators. This opportunity is available to both internal and external candidates, providing a blend of formal learning and practical on-the-job training. Successful candidates will be equipped with the skills and experience needed for a career in plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in structured institutional training and hands-on practical experience to develop the necessary skills for a Plant Operator role.
- Assist in plant operations under supervision, gaining an understanding of operational procedures and practices.
- Follow the training program to enhance both technical and operational knowledge.
Minimum Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Qualifications:
- Candidates with one of the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- National N6 Certificate with Trade Subjects, or
- National Diploma / BTech / BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics)
- National N4/N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects
- Grade 12 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Physical Science
- 40% in English
- N3 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
- NCV Level 4 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
