Overview:
Millennium Challenge Account Lesotho II (MCA-Lesotho II), in collaboration with Translantic Development Limited (TDL), is seeking 16 qualified Enumerators to support the Resettlement and Livelihood Services (RLS) component of the Market Driven Irrigated Horticulture (MDIH) project. This initiative aims to implement Resettlement and Livelihood Plans (RLPs) for four irrigation schemes in Leribe and Phamong, ensuring compliance with national legal standards and international frameworks.

Roles Available:

  • Geographic Information System (GIS) and Asset Inventory Enumerators
  • Census Enumerators

Location:
The enumerators will collect data in the Manka, Tsoili-Tsoili, and Likhakeng project areas within the Leribe District.


Job Responsibilities:

-Conduct interviews with households, enterprises, or establishments to collect data and verify documents such as title deeds.

-Participate in training sessions to understand data collection methodologies thoroughly.

-Use handheld devices to record survey responses accurately.

-Ensure all questionnaires are completed, verified, and submitted to the server daily.

-Document field experiences and share observations with supervisors.

-Assist in data cleaning and validation processes as required.

-Attend debriefing meetings to discuss findings and address challenges.


Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Urban and Regional Planning (URP), Quantity Surveying, or related fields.

Key Skills and Experience:

-A minimum of 2 years of field survey experience, particularly in demographic, socioeconomic, or geographic data collection.

-Proficiency in digital data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO, KoBoToolbox, CSPro, or similar ODK-based systems.

-Basic knowledge of GIS is an advantage.

-Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

-Strong communication skills with fluency in English and Sesotho (written and spoken).
