Overview
Mega Bus is seeking to hire 10 experienced and skilled Code 14 Bus Drivers to join our team in various locations on a permanent basis. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers on scheduled routes, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey. This role requires strict adherence to traffic regulations, company policies, and high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
-Transport passengers safely on scheduled routes, ensuring on-time departures and arrivals.
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards, reporting them immediately.
-Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking, providing special attention to those with mobility challenges.
-Manage route schedules and communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays, route changes, or issues encountered during the trip.
-Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, including maintaining a safe following distance and avoiding distractions while driving.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / National Certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Bus Driver, preferably in a similar role.
- Licenses: Valid Code 14 Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Strong knowledge of defensive and preventive driving techniques.
- Excellent understanding of traffic laws and the ability to avoid infractions and accidents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while providing exceptional customer service.
