Overview:
We are seeking a diligent Water and Toilet Truck Driver to join our Ramp department at Menzies Aviation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient provision of clean water services to aircraft, adhering to strict sanitary standards and operational protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Safely fill the water servicing vehicle with clean water for aircraft use.
- Utilize a guide person to assist in positioning the vehicle at the aircraft.
- Ensure water is free from chemical substances and micro-organisms, maintaining proper chlorination levels.
- Keep the water filling point clean and secured to prevent contamination.
- Ensure the water truck is well-maintained, clean, and free from any foreign object debris (FOD).
- Avoid filling portable water from the same source as toilet services.
- Waste a small amount of water on the ramp before connecting the hose to the aircraft.
- Avoid servicing aircraft simultaneously with toilet servicing.
- Promptly report any equipment or aircraft damage.
- Adhere to all client rules and regulations, as well as safety protocols on the ramp.
- Follow the 10 golden rules for operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
- Thorough understanding of ramp operations.
- AVOP certification is advantageous.
- Completion of dangerous goods course preferred.
- Previous experience or training in toilet servicing operations beneficial.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with ISO systems and work instructions.
