Mercedes-Benz Bedfordview, a Division of Motus, is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Apprentice Technician. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in repairing Passenger Cars & Vans to the highest standards set by the dealer/distributor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fault diagnosis to facilitate efficient vehicle servicing, adhering to dealership standards.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment effectively during vehicle inspections to identify issues accurately.
• Ensure compliance with DCSA procedures and policies throughout repair processes, maintaining detailed printouts.
• Accurately diagnose faults to achieve customer satisfaction, communicating clearly with Service Advisors.
• Uphold vehicle care and safety standards while handling all types of vehicles.
• Minimize comebacks by ensuring precise and effective repairs.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls when necessary, providing timely assistance.
• Return serviced vehicles to customers in a clean and presentable condition.
• Manage parts procurement and usage, signing for all parts acquired and returning unused parts appropriately.
• Offer cost-effective and accurate remedies for identified faults or customer complaints.
• Provide guidance and implement techniques to ensure both quality and time efficiency.
• Conduct fault finding and systems diagnostic services on motor vehicles, expediting mechanics’ work.
• Complete necessary forms and documentation as part of the company’s service routines.
• Prepare reports and contribute suggestions for special promotional campaigns.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and comply with overall cleanliness standards.
• Complete job cards accurately and promptly, providing necessary information to Service Advisors after repairs.
• Participate in training courses provided by Daimler and Cargo Motors.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Grade 12 with proficiency in Maths and Physical Science.
• N2 qualifications in Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Maths, and Motor Trade Theory.
• Valid Driver’s License.

• Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
