Job Summary:
Lead and oversee open-cast and underground operations to achieve production targets safely and profitably. Drive strategic alignment between mining activities and the operational value chain. Develop annual mining plans and budgets while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement mining production plans aligned with business strategy.
-Ensure resources, equipment, and labor are optimized to meet operational targets.
-Oversee ventilation and other mining support services to ensure safe and efficient operations.
-Drive compliance with mining regulations and ISO standards (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015).
-Embed a high-performance culture and drive continuous business improvement.
-Foster employee health, wellness, and safety culture.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering; master’s preferred.
-10+ years’ experience, 4 in senior management.
-Registration with Botswana Engineers’ Registration Board or equivalent.
