Overview:
Motus is seeking a motivated and responsible Driver to join our branch in Krugersdorp. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods to and from our clients while strictly adhering to all company procedures.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before departure and upon return, ensuring any issues are reported immediately to the Dispatch Supervisor.
-Submit vehicle inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval before receiving a new inspection list.
-Collaborate with the supervisor to verify parcels before loading, adhering to the New Dispatch Loading procedure at all times.
-Deliver parcels to customers according to the designated route schedule and trip sheet, ensuring compliance with customer Proof of Delivery (POD) procedures.
-Follow the Return for Credit (RFC) procedure as required.
- Collect and deliver all documents and slips associated with your trip sheet, ensuring they are signed in with the POD clerk and returned the following day.
- Take responsibility for any outstanding trip sheets and be accountable for any claims related to missing PODs.
- Avoid unauthorized stock transfers between customer shops.
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle, reporting any issues to the Dispatch Supervisor immediately.
- Communicate any problems encountered during deliveries or with PODs to the Dispatch Supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Grade 12 certificate.
- At least 3 years of delivery experience.
- A valid code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential.
