Overview
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is seeking 13 temporary Heavy Duty Truck Drivers for full-time positions in Port Elizabeth. These roles are essential for ensuring the efficient transportation of containerized cargo between ports and clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate truck and trailer combinations as directed by the cartage controller, adhering to road regulations and company procedures.
- Collect and deliver full and empty containers to and from ports and clients.
- Complete daily checklists for assigned trucks/trailers and report any issues to management.
- Maintain the truck’s cleanliness and perform routine checks and maintenance.
- Assist other staff members when necessary.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid EC Heavy Duty Truck Driver’s License and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transporting containerized cargo.
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Compliance with occupational health and safety and medical requirements.
- Ability to work under all weather conditions.
