Overview

Murray & Roberts Cementation is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Driver EB, based at Palaborwa Mine near Phalaborwa, Limpopo. The selected candidate will report directly to the Shift Supervisor, Raise Drilling. The company offers a market-related remuneration package and benefits that align with the role. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. This position is open only to South African citizens or permanent residents.

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely transport passengers and goods to designated locations.
  • Transport dangerous goods, including explosives, in a safe manner (site-specific).
  • Manage the delivery and collection of goods and documents.
  • Accurately complete logbooks and checklists.
  • Ensure proper load distribution for all transport activities.
  • Report any vehicle abuse or defects promptly.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and standard condition.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees within the area of responsibility.
  • Be willing to work outside of normal working hours when required.
  • Demonstrate effective self-management in line with M&RC’s values.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

-Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

-Valid EB driver’s license.

-Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).

-Valid license to transport dangerous goods (site-specific).

-Police clearance certificate (site-specific).

-Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an EB driver.
  • Experience in the delivery and collection of goods and documents.
  • Knowledge of correct load distribution on vehicles.
  • Experience in handling and transporting explosives and other dangerous goods (site-specific).
