Overview
Murray & Roberts Cementation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Driver EC, based at Bentley Park near Carltonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report directly to the Shift Supervisor, Raise Drilling. The company offers a competitive remuneration package along with benefits relevant to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. This role is open only to South African citizens or permanent residents.
Job Responsibilities
-Provide transportation and loading support, primarily for material and equipment within a designated area.
-Manage the delivery and collection of goods and documents.
-Accurately complete logbooks and checklists.
-Ensure proper load distribution during transportation activities.
-Report any vehicle abuse or defects promptly.
- Maintain vehicles to company standards and ensure they are clean.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure the safety of all employees within the area of responsibility.
- Be willing to work outside of normal working hours when necessary.
- Demonstrate effective self-management in line with M&RC’s values.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid EC driver’s license (essential).
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (essential).
- Hi Ab (Crane) license (preferred).
- Advanced driving license (preferred).
- Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a licensed EC driver.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operating/driving mobile equipment.
- Knowledge of correct load distribution on vehicles.
- Understanding of handling and transporting dangerous goods.
