Overview:
Join our team at S.A. Bank Note Company (Pty) Ltd. as an Operator Stores Inventory X3 in Pretoria. We are seeking diligent individuals who are meticulous in managing stock and non-stock items while adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the receiving and issuing of stock and non-stock items.
  • Accurately record landed costs for foreign deliveries and maintain detailed records for easy retrieval.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to rectify incorrect deliveries and report discrepancies to the Stores Supervisor.
  • Conduct precise stock cycle counts, investigate variances, and report findings to the Stores Supervisor.
  • Operate relevant IT systems effectively to ensure accurate data recording and reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent service to internal clients and external suppliers.
  • Oversee annual car license renewals, vehicle servicing, and repairs.
  • Handle the collection and delivery of items and documents within the business unit.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environment regulations, including safe handling of chemicals and hazardous substances.
  • Safely operate forklifts while adhering to all regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Stock Control.
  • Valid forklift license.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a stores environment, with a focus on receipting and issuing stock.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in stores control procedures.
  • General working knowledge of inventory management.
  • Familiarity with chemical and hazardous substance handling.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant software systems.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
