Overview:
PathCare Vermaak, a reputable partnership of pathologists in South Africa, has been dedicated to supporting healthcare professionals in diagnosing and confirming medical conditions since 1922. We are currently seeking a reliable and ethical Courier to join our Transport department at the Donald Gordon branch in Johannesburg. This role involves serving the Johannesburg area, and we are looking for a candidate who aligns with our core values of integrity and excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities:
-Deliver medical specimens and related materials to various locations within Johannesburg.
-Ensure the safe and timely transportation of items while adhering to established protocols.
-Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
-Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide exceptional service.
-Handle emergency situations with composure and professionalism.
-Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Transport department.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Valid driver’s license for both Code A and Code B vehicles.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate the employee self-service portal and email.
- At least 2 years of courier delivery experience, with experience on both motorcycles and vehicles.
- Familiarity with courier routes in Johannesburg and the West Rand area is essential.
- Previous experience in a pathology or medical environment is preferred.
- Willingness to work day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

- Ability to work under pressure and independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Afrikaans is an advantage.
