Job Description:
PEP, a dynamic and customer-centric retail brand, is seeking a Part-Time Sales Assistant for our store in Katlehong, Gauteng. As a member of the PEP family, you’ll embody the qualities of a Dynamo – working hard, having fun, and taking ownership of your responsibilities.
Purpose of Position:
To be a friendly team player, promoting sales, reducing stock losses, managing stock, serving customers, working on the till, and maintaining a low-cost culture in order to meet business goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Minimize stock loss through a healthy store culture, adherence to security measures, and following stock and cash handling procedures.
- Manage a low-cost business according to the company’s culture by driving efficiencies in the store.
- Handle cash at the register in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of Dynamos.
- Maintain general health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Increase sales through exceptional customer service, maintaining world-class store standards, stock management, promotional implementation, and correct pricing according to our guidelines.
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- Clear criminal record.
- South African candidates preferred.
- Experience in Sales Assistant and Cashier roles.
- Proficient in English.
- Computer literate.
- Reside within 15km from the job location.
- Passion for retail, demonstrating a commitment to delivering a world-class customer experience.
- Integrity and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Ability to plan and organize daily duties.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work retail hours and be available during peak periods.
