Overview
PetroSA is inviting applications for the 2024 COE Apprenticeship Intake. This three-year apprenticeship program offers training in various trades within the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Oil & Gas industries. The program is designed for matriculants, graduates, or those with no prior work experience.
Responsibilities
-Successful candidates will undergo extensive training in one of the following trades:
-Metal Machinist (Turning) – 10 positions
-Electrical – 16 positions
-Rigging – 10 positions
-Mechanical Fitting – 16 positions
-Welding – 15 positions
-Instrumentation – 10 positions
-Boilermaking – 16 positions
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
-Grade 12 with a pass in Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and Physical Science, OR
-N3 with Mathematics and Science.
Experience:
-No prior employment experience required.
Other Requirements:
-Must be a South African citizen.
-Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
-Must be physically fit (medical screening will be conducted).
-Must not have participated in any previous apprenticeship program.
-Must not be currently studying or plan to study in 2024.
-Applicants with a Degree or Diploma will not be considered.
-Candidates can apply for only one trade.
