Job Overview
Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Code 10 Driver to join our team in Krugersdorp, Kagiso, and Tshepisong. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of FMCG goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Transportation
- Operate a Code 10 vehicle (truck) to transport FMCG goods such as food, beverages, personal care items, and household goods to designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
Loading & Unloading
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring the correct items are delivered to the right locations.
- Handle goods carefully to prevent damage during transit.
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or issues to the Fleet Manager immediately.
- Ensure compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
Customer Service & Documentation
- Provide professional and courteous customer service when making deliveries.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns regarding deliveries.
- Ensure all delivery documentation (invoices, delivery notes, etc.) is accurately completed and signed by customers.
- Submit all paperwork to the logistics team as required.
Stock Control & Vehicle Maintenance
- Monitor and manage stock levels during deliveries and returns.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements & Skills
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a valid PDP.
- Minimum 3-4 years of driving experience, preferably in the FMCG or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and delivery protocols.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot vehicle or logistical issues as they arise.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Physically fit and able to load and unload goods as required.
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification is required.
- Must reside in Krugersdorp, Kagiso, or Tshepisong.
