Overview:
A position for a General Worker has opened at our Kempton Park branch. This role is crucial in supporting various stages of plant cultivation, ensuring the successful growth and development of plants for seed production.
Responsibilities:
- Counting and packaging seeds
- Soaking, washing, and drying seedling trays
- Preparing seedling mix for tray filling
- Filling trays with seedling mix
- Arranging filled pots in the greenhouses
- Connecting drippers to pots
- Moving seedlings from the seedling house to greenhouses and fields
- Creating planting holes in the field
- Harvesting crossed fruits as per the crossing book
- Harvesting self-pollinated fruits from selected plants by the breeder
- Extracting seeds from harvested fruits
- Washing and cleaning seeds after 24-hour fermentation
- Drying seeds
- Cleaning used fermentation buckets
- Cleaning cutting boards
- Removing plant materials and pots from greenhouses and loading
Requirements:
